When we look at our lives today we notice that with more and more things that should make life easier we are facing more and more stress. We started to multitask and try to get more work and social life done than ever before. Even in our off time, we build more stress. Just think about all the choices we have like what movie to watch on Netflix or where to go after work and how always having to make them ads stress. Stress affects every part of our life. It can hinder us from meaningful relationships, time with family or things like investing in our community to just name a few examples. Stress also affects our sleep and our health which then affects other parts of our life again. So you see how important it is to lower our stress levels.
As important as it is to lower your stress as important it is to have a strong community. Cities becoming more and more isolated places where people often don’t even know their neighbors or have any place of belonging. Not having that can actually cause stress in your life which then again builds up and feeds into the problem.
